WWE SmackDown spoilers (Jan. 7, 2016): John Cena returns, two title matches

WWE SmackDown will make its way to its new home on the USA Network this coming Thursday night (Jan. 7, 2016) from Laredo, Texas but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday. That means full spoilers are readily available if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.

Unwrap that present early:

- John Cena opened the show with a promo calling out Alberto Del Rio, saying he wants another shot at the US title. Naturally, Del Rio refused.

- Kalisto def. Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match.

- They did a Miz TV segment that had New Day coming out to run down Chris Jericho but it led to Dolph Ziggler, Goldust, R-Truth, and Neville showing up. The babyface team got the win over the heel team of New Day & Miz. This seems really wacky and weird, or like Ziggler may be recruiting a rag tag crew of his own to go after the Social Outcasts?

- Charlotte def. Becky Lynch with help from her father, Ric, to retain the Divas championship.

- Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose went to a double count out or double disqualification when the two brawled all around and ended up at the stage, where Owens was throw into the sign.
