AJ Styles' progression of opponents since making his debut in WWE has been interesting to say the least. He started in a Royal Rumble match for the WWE world heavyweight championship on pay-per-view, moved to a singles match against Chris Jericho on Monday Night Raw, and his last bout was a singles match opposite Curtis Axel on SmackDown.
That's a steady decline, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing or indicative of future potential.
This is evident in the response to a poll WWE published on its website asking fans who they want to see him face next. The answer, as of this writing:
People really want him challenging for the title. But also a match against ... Neville?
What a strange poll.
