SmackDown viewership is up on USA Network

WWE.com

There were only two episodes of SmackDown that drew over 2.7 million viewers in 2015 and one of those was a live special. That was despite a move to Thursday nights early in the year.

So far in 2016, when the show moved to the USA Network on Jan. 7, the blue brand has drawn at least 2.7 million viewers in three of its four shows.

Jan. 7: 2.75 million
Jan. 14: 2.33 million
Jan. 21: 2.75 million
Jan. 28: 2.72 million

Despite rumors of pushing the show harder as destination television, WWE has largely treated it the same, though the writing is undoubtedly better than what you'll see on a typical episode of Monday Night Raw. It's also only two hours long, so it's less of a time suck for fans looking to watch their favorite WWE stars without losing too much of their day sitting in front of their TV screens.
