Sami Zayn doesn't know what will come of his Royal Rumble appearance

"What more needs to be said about Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens? Seven months is a long time to sit and stew and think about what's been done to you. I don't know exactly what's going to come of this but I'll tell you it felt good finally getting my hands on him. It was a long time coming. Obviously (disappointing not winning) but (it) absolutely (meant something for me to be on this stage). The Royal Rumble is obviously one of the biggest events of the year and a lot of people's favorite matches of the year. It's just cool to be a part of that history now. Obviously I would have liked to go a little further in the Rumble but, you know, you got three big boys in the Wyatts, it's kind of hard. But definitely a memorable experience. First Rumble and it definitely won't be the last."

WWE chose not to bring back any Legends for this year's Royal Rumble match, so the surprises were left to a big debut in AJ Styles and current top NXT contender Sami Zayn. Both were heavily involved with Kevin Owens in the match, as he eliminated the former and was eliminated by the latter. But does this mean we can finally look forward to the never-ending Zayn vs. Owens feud happening on the main roster?

Sami doesn't know and we'll just have to stay tuned. He's still got business to take care of in NXT but that hasn't stopped WWE from calling up one of the stars of the developmental brand before. Owens, in fact, was champion when he got his call up.

Here's to hoping.
