WWE Royal Rumble 2016 results: Dean Ambrose wins insane Last Man Standing match

Considering potential issues with timing, it only made sense that WWE kick off the pay-per-view (PPV) portion of its Royal Rumble broadcast tonight (Jan. 24, 2016) at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, with the Last Man Standing match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens.

The Intercontinental championship was on the line.

It's staying with that damn lunatic.

They got to the goods early on, with Ambrose breaking out a kendo stick and going to town before Owens took control with a cannonball through the barricade near the timekeeper. They traded brutal offense, from Ambrose dropping Owens onto a set of chairs and Owens drilling Ambrose into the apron and the steps. Dean also put Kevin through a table on the outside with an elbow from the top rope.

They destroyed each other.

Owens put Ambrose through a table from the top rope with a fisherman buster in a HUGE spot that only got an 8 count. He followed up with a Pop Up Powerbomb that got a 9 count. Owens, incredulous, looked on with hate. He set up some chairs to deliver the coup de grace but left himself open to be pushed from the top rope through two tables he had set up on the outside earlier.

That was enough for the count of 10.

Ambrose wins.

Insanity.
