It's been too long since WWE.com hit us with a list we can pick apart but they're back with a top 10 of the funniest wrestlers in history. The criteria is not explained but that's mostly because, well, it shouldn't need to be. It should be noted that this is for the on-screen characters and not the folks who are playing them.
Got it? Let's get to it then. As always go read the entire article for a detailed look.
10. Kurt Angle
9. R-Truth
8. William Regal
7. Chris Jericho
6. Mick Foley
5. Santino Marella
4. Stone Cold Steve Austin
3. Edge & Christian
2. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
1. The Rock
I'm probably going to cause a minor uproar here but putting Rock at number one is painful. I, not unlike many other teenage boys, thought he was hilarious when I was younger but his material does not age well. He's a genuinely funny guy in the right settings but his comedy in the squared circle leaves much to be desired.
Heenan, meanwhile, was a comedic genius who should be in a class by himself.
Elsewhere, I'm largely okay with the list and greatly appreciate Regal's inclusion, as well as the always underrated comedy stylings of a certain Olympic hero.
Your thoughts?
