In between the Jon Stewart and Undertaker heel turns, WWE snuck in a few other newsworthy items about WWE Network on said Network's broadcast of SummerSlam last night.
First up is the next episode of the Stone Cold Podcast. Steve Austin will be joined by Hall of Famer Edge and his friend & tag partner Christian on September 7 following Monday Night Raw. The seven time tag champs will be the Rattlesnake's next guests in a series that has included Vince McMahon, Triple H, Paul Heyman and Paige. Expect lots of entertaining stories and hopefully some answers to why Captain Charisma didn't go over in his World Heavyweight Championship feud with Randy Orton.
Okay, this Peep may be the only one asking questions about that last topic, but still...
In addition to that, the coming months will also see the last episodes of Swerved, a couple of NXT-centered documentaries (a special that looks to follow established stars and a series described as being similar to the NFL's Hard Knocks training camp show called Breaking Ground).
And continuing to use Brock Lesnar to sell WWE Network subscriptions, there will be a Beast in the East-style special of his house show appearance at New York's Madison Square Garden on Saturday, October 3.
Looks like they're making good on their promise and continuing to churn out original content.
