They aren't kidding when they say "DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME."
A man, Brandon Hoffman, was arrested just yesterday and charged with multiple crimes -- including involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault -- when he killed an Bryson Shoemaker, an 18-month old child he was babysitting, while performing a wrestling move, the Undertaker's Last Ride.
According to the AP, Hoffman told police the child was supposed to land on the bed but instead hit the floor, causing what is believed to be a collapsed lung and a broken neck. The injuries proved fatal.
Hoffman reportedly attempted to administer CPR and drove Shoemaker to the hospital himself for fear of involving authorities.
WWE released a statement on the matter:
"There is no excuse for a 20-year-old grown man to assault an 18-month old child, no matter what. Using a flimsy excuse about emulating a wrestling maneuver does not absolve Brandon Hoffman of this abhorrent crime. The death of Bryson Shoemaker is a tragedy, and WWE offers its condolences to the child's mother, Sierra Shoemaker."
Hoffman is currently jailed with bail set at $150,000.
