From an interview with the Chicago Tribune after his Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame induction in the city:
"I wouldn't say Chicago is out of the running. We can do colder environments. We went to (MetLife) Stadium (in New Jersey). People wear coats to football. Why won't they wear jackets and so forth to WrestleMania? They will. Chicago will definitely be in the running in the future."
The last WrestleMania held in Chicago was the WrestleMania 22 event headlined by John Cena vs. Triple H at the Allstate Arena. Since then, WWE has made its biggest event of the year a stadium show, and running Chicago outside in late March or early April could prove problematic with erratic midwest weather.
Then again, as he mentioned, they did just fine running New Jersey, though conditions were relatively good.
Anyone think WWE should bring the "Showcase of the Immortals" back to the "Windy City" sometime soon?
