Intercontinental, tag team titles will be defended in Elimination Chamber matches on May 31

WWE.com

WWE officially announced earlier this evening that it would bring back the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view concept in a Network exclusive event on Sun., May 31, 2015, from Corpus Christi, Texas. Details on the show were not immediately made available outside of Michael Cole's initial revelation during Monday Night Raw but in an article posted at WWE.com, it's made clear exactly what plans are.

From the report:

The anticipated, must-see WWE Elimination Chamber event will emanate from Corpus Christi, Texas, where the WWE Tag Team Championships and the newly vacant Intercontinental Championship will be defended inside the infamous structure.

Daniel Bryan appeared on Raw to relinquish the Intercontinental championship, so it makes sense to find six wrestlers -- say, King Barrett, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Neville, Stardust, and R-Truth? -- to work an Elimination Chamber match. A tag team title match would seem to indicate at least three teams getting involved. Perhaps the newly reformed Luke Harper and Erick Rowan will join The New Day and the Brass Ring Club?

Stay tuned.
