After suffering an injury that WWE never bothered to disclose, and missing a great deal of time because of it, Daniel Bryan finally made his return during tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Cincinnati. He was there to clear up exactly what's been going on with him while he's been out.
A devastating snippet of what he said:
"I had an MRI last week. They don't know how long I'll be out ... I might never be able to wrestle again." #RAW pic.twitter.com/oJZFhHNtKP
— WWE (@WWE) May 12, 2015
He then told fans that they deserve a fighting champion and because that's not what he can be right now, he relinquished the Intercontinental championship and left it in the ring to walk to the back under a cloud of uncertainty.
This likely isn't the last we've seen of Daniel Bryan in a WWE ring but it's at least possible we have seen his last match for a very long time.
This hurts.
How are you doing, Cagesiders?
