Bill DeMott has been the subject of controversy for a number of days now after an internal memo was leaked that accused him of creating an unprofessional work environment back in 2013. Bullying, unsafe training practices, and generally abusive behavior were just some of the many allegations made against the WWE trainer who works in developmental down in NXT.
Or worked.
Indeed, DeMott announced just a short time ago that he is leaving his position:
"I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I've decided to step down from my role effective immediately."
This comes just days after WWE released a statement claiming it conducted a full investigation and were "unable to validate any claims." The story didn't die there, however, with a number of wrestlers taking to social media to speak out against DeMott and his training practices. Many of the tweets included a hashtag asking WWE to fire DeMott to make clear it would not stand for such behavior.
That isn't what happened but DeMott will no longer be a trainer for the company so the goal was accomplished nonetheless.
