Ready or not, The Rock expects Roman Reigns to have a great match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31

The hottest topic in professional wrestling as we head into WrestleMania 31 on Sun., Mar. 29, 2015, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California is whether or not Roman Reigns is ready to wrestle in the main event of that show and possibly win the WWE world heavyweight championship from Brock Lesnar.

Naturally, when Chris Van Vliet got the chance to sit down for a few minutes with The Rock, the question was asked. The answer:

"Ready to headline WrestleMania and ready to be the champ are two different things. I think that he's in a unique position. Pushed quickly -- I was in that position before, so I know what it's like. But at the same time you either sink or swim, so you've got no choice but to be ready. Fans have expressed their displeasure in it, and that's the greatest part about the WWE Universe, by the way, is that they're so vocal and passionate about how they feel. I think he's going to go out with Brock -- Brock who I've known for a very long time, for years -- and they're going to put on a hell of a match. That's what I expect."

Perhaps not surprisingly, Rock artfully dodged the question while endorsing Reigns at the tail end of his answer. Really, Roman may be in a position that dictates the only way to win some support from his doubters is if he does what "The Great One" is saying he will, and that's have a great match with Lesnar in the main event of the biggest show of the year.

We're just over one week away from finding out if he can do it.

Here's the full interview, in which Rock teases making an appearance at WrestleMania 31, coming back for a match to help break the attendance record in Dallas at WrestleMania 32, and CM Punk's move to the UFC:
