WrestleMania, the "Showcase of the Immortals" as WWE has taken to calling it, is the biggest pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year. It is where great careers are made and, later, where those same careers so often go to die. If you want to be the best of the best, this is where you have to do it.
That's why CM Punk was so obsessed with headlining the show proper.
After 30 events, we can look back on history and get a general idea of who the best of the best actually are/were. To that end, WWE.com is back with another top 10 on this very subject.
Let's get it:
10. Edge
9. Macho Man Randy Savage
8. Triple H
7. Bret Hart
6. The Rock
5. John Cena
4. Stone Cold Steve Austin
3. Hulk Hogan
2. Shawn Michaels
1. Undertaker
In the land of kayfabe, "The Phenom" is king, at least at WrestleMania. There is a reason, however, that Michaels is nicknamed "Mr. WrestleMania" and it has nothing to do with wins and losses.
Outside of toeing that line, this is a solid list.
