Brock Lesnar is in attendance at the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) taking place tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. We know because employees of the mixed martial arts promotion were furiously blasting as much out to social media.
The timing is rather interesting.
That's because Lesnar, the current WWE world heavyweight champion who is still under contract to the company until the night after WrestleMania 31 on Mar. 30, reportedly walked out of this past Monday night's episode of Raw. The reason for his doing so has been reported/rumored to be due to a snag in negotiations for a new contract.
This after Frank Mir won his latest fight and made clear that he would love a third match-up with Lesnar. The UFC, while not openly courting Brock, haven't exactly hidden their interest in bringing the biggest PPV draw in the promotion's history back into the fold.
Now, the man himself is pictured speaking with UFC President Dana White, sitting cageside, and has been spotted backstage.
It's entirely possible, and, in fact, downright likely, that Lesnar is simply playing both sides against the middle. It certainly wouldn't be the first time. Either way, he's in the building and you can be sure reporters will be asking White if a meeting has, or is scheduled, to take place.
