UPDATE: Stephanie has responded.
Last night's episode of Raw featured Paige & Emma losing to the Bella Twins in all of 30 seconds. Paige actually got an entrance and was made to stand around in the ring while a four-minute video package for Sting was played.
Fans were outraged enough that they took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with a hashtag, #GiveDivasAChance, that quickly become a top trending topic and stayed there well into today.
The timing of this was interesting considering Stephanie McMahon had tweeted this in response to the Oscars earlier in the day:
Thank You @PattyArquette for having the courage to fight for #WomensRights on such a grand platform. #UseYourVoice pic.twitter.com/q71acxMExU
— Stephanie McMahon (@StephMcMahon) February 23, 2015
Seeing this, former Divas Champion AJ Lee, who is currently out injured, responded with the following:
@StephMcMahon Your female wrestlers have record selling merchandise & have starred in the highest rated segment of the show several times,
— A.J. (@WWEAJLee) February 25, 2015
@StephMcMahon And yet they receive a fraction of the wages & screen time of the majority of the male roster. #UseYourVoice

There's always the chance this could be an angle building to a story between Lee, who has dropped a pipebomb or two in her career, and McMahon, who has done the same. Or it could be something else entirely. It's worth noting, at the very least, that Dr. Chris Amann, the WWE physician, is currently suing AJ's husband, CM Punk, with the full support of WWE.
Thoughts?
