IGF hopes to bring back Brock Lesnar when his WWE contract expires

Brock Lesnar is now less than two months away from becoming the hottest free agent in sports and entertainment. On top of WWE attempting to sign him to a new deal, both the UFC and Bellator are hoping to draw him back to mixed martial arts.

Now, add the Inoki Genome Federation (IGF) to the mix.

Simon Inoki told Bloody Elbow as much in a recent interview:

"We did have Brock Lesnar before. We want to bring him back again if possible. I'm trying to see if we could do something."

The latest rumors on Lesnar's potential landing spot have WWE back in the lead, or at least those within the company seemingly thinking as much. Former announcer Jim Ross recently blogged on as much, saying "sources" indicating there are concerns over Brock's health and working a light pro wrestling schedule would be far preferable to even a moderate MMA schedule.

Assuming he does return to pro wrestling, is there any real chance he would leave WWE for IGF? That seems unlikely, but at the very least we now know the Japanese promotion is interested.
