WWE SmackDown results, live blog (Dec. 31, 2015): So long, SyFy!

WWE SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Dec. 31, 2015) from Washington D.C. with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for next month in Orlando, Florida.

Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). We will provide results below.

You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.

Enjoy the show!

SMACKDOWN RESULTS

Chris here. Let's celebrate the break-up of SmackDown and SyFy

The New Day comes out to start the show with noisemakers and dicks horns.

Xavier Woods tells us that New Year's is New Day's favorite time of the year. After all, New Year's is the time for reflection and resolution.

And what is New Day's resolution? NOTHING! They are perfect.

Therefore, it is the WWE Universe that needs a resolution, and this is because the Universe didn't vote New Day as the Tag Team of the Year. Nothing will chance in 2016 unless the Universe starts recognizing greatness.

To make things easy for us people, The New Day has made a list of resolutions:

  1. Each and every member of the WWE Universe will be made to wear glasses and hearing aids.
  2. The WWE Universe will be required to keep a New Day Journal to record their "smorgasbord of greatness" - assuming they know how to write.
  3. The WWE Universe must have a spirit in their booty and a song in their heart, and the song is NEW! DAY ROCKS

Those merciless Lucha Dragons interrupt with Kalisto saying that the WWE Universe knew what they were doing when they picked the Lucha Dragons as Tag Team of the Year. Sin Cara (with a bum shoulder) challenges The New Day to a 3-on-2 handicap match. The New Day taunts this idea.

Kalisto says that he isn't alone, and his back-up comes in the form of the Dudley Boyz, who come out with a table reading "Happy New Year".

The New Day vs Kalisto and The Dudley Boyz

This was a decent enough opener. Kalisto and The Dudleys get the win after Kalisto hits Kofi Kingston with Salida Del Sol.

After the match, Bubba Ray Dudley powerbombs Xavier Woods through the New Year's table.

Tyler Breeze vs Goldust

This was a quick one that happened. Breeze got the win after he used a rope-assisted pin on Goldust.

Afterward, Summer Rae talks about some big moments of 2015. However, their moment will be even bigger...

Summer Breeze is going away. Long live Summer Breeze.

Backstage, Bo Dallas is wandering around giving out some re-Bo-lutions. He encounters Curtis Axel, who still believes that he's in the Royal Rumble. Axel vows to make it to WrestleMania. Dallas goes on to sign some girl's hand before running into Dolph Ziggler. He tries to hand out a re-Bo-lution to Ziggler, but the latter doesn't accept it, and challenges Dallas to a match before telling him to Bolieve

The Usos vs The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Braun Strowman)

This one happened with The Wyatts dominating for the most part. BigBeard McHugsALot wins after hugging one of the Usos.

Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Naomi and Tamina

This happened, Brie and Alicia won after Brie hit Naomi with the Bella Buster

Bo Dallas vs Dolph Ziggler

Another one that happened. Ziggler won with a superkick.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens and Sheamus

Either I'm being really jaded tonight, or this was just another one that happened. The end came as Reigns was lining up for a spear on Sheamus. Owens interrupted the spear by pulling Reigns into the ring post. A beatdown ensues, causing a DQ.

Afterward, Owens and Sheamus beat up Reigns a bit before Ambrose interrupts. Owens superkicks Ambrose and sets him up for a powerbomb though the announce table. Reigns (who was being forced to watch) escapes Sheamus' grasp and Superman punches Owens. Sheamus is speared soon after.

Ambreigns stand tall to end the final SmackDown of 2015 as well as the final one on SyFy.
