Now that Lana has returned to WWE television, fans have returned to their habit of pointing out her obviously bad Russian accent. There were rumors a while back that WWE was planning on doing away with it altogether but there's been nothing to indicate they'll be doing so anytime soon.
In an effort to combat the criticism, Lana took to Twitter with this kayfabe-keeping tweet:
Thank you all for noticing that my English is improving. I have been working on the "American accent"

That's perfect, really, because it's a catch all. Any time the Russian accent disappears she can simply say her English has improved even more. Eventually, she can claim it's so good it's like she's lived in America all her life!
Let's just celebrate the fact that there are wrestlers/performers in wrestling this dedicated to keeping kayfabe, even on social media.
