WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 28

Chris here. This one's for Lemmy...RIP to a legend

WWE Signature and Raw intro.

Vince McMahon comes out to start the show.

Vince says that he's here to settle a score. He would have done so last week, but he had to undergo some dental surgery. He then calls Roman Reigns to get out to take his medicine.

Vince can't find it in his heart to congratulate Reigns on his title win since he "incapacitated" Triple H, turned his back on Stephanie McMahon, Superman Punched Vince, and kicked him out of his own ring.

You see, Vince OWNS that damn ring, Vince owns that WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and he owns Roman Reigns.

Reigns calls McMahon a rich snob who doesn't own a thing. Instead, Reigns and his supporters own all of this. He asks Vince what he's gonna do while giving ideas. Vince tells Reigns to shut up before reminding us of The Wild Samoans and what he did to Afa (making him wrestle every night).

He then addresses Sika, who he used up and lined his pockets with his money. Reigns responds by punching Vince and knocking him down. Vince sells his neck and calls for help. Stephanie McMahon comes out with some officers and tells them to arrest Reigns.

Only a slight problem: the cops are here to provide security, not to arrest people. Stephanie begs the cop, who tells her to step back and drop the attitude. The crowd is enjoying this.

Vince tries to be the voice of reason and gets increasingly pissed of to the point of grabbing the cop. The cop doesn't much like this, so he has Vince arrested. Steph freaks out as the cops haul Vince away (Reigns also holds the mic to the cops as this goes on).

Kevin Owens vs Neville

About ten seconds here.  Both men go for some very quick finishes, but Neville reverses a pop-up powerbomb into a roll-up for a surprise win.

Owens didn't like the result much, so he destroyed Neville.

As Neville is being assisted to the back, Owens comes back and decapitates Neville with a clothesline and hurls him into the ring steps. As Owens prepares for an apron powerbomb, Dean Ambrose comes out to make a save and runs Owens off after a few moments.

We are reminded that The Rock is coming to WrestleMania.

Jojo interviews Becky Lynch about Charlotte not being here tonight. Becky says that she has always done things on her own, and that's not stopping now. Becky didn't come here to blend in; she came in to stand out.

Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch

Before the match, Sasha Banks cuts a promo knocking New York City and saying that Boston is the better city. She puts on a Patriots hat as well to make the crowd even happier. Naomi takes the mic and says stuff as well.

This was a long and good match that really started to heat up toward the end as Becky started to stage a comeback. However, Team BAD interjected themselves one too many times, allowing Sasha to get a handful of tights to win after a really good ending sequence.

Welp, Vince was officially booked, and his mugshot looks like something that would make a Batman villain cower in fear.

Kalisto vs Kofi Kingston

Before the match, Xavier Woods reminds us that The New Day became WWE Tag Team Champions in the Barclays Center. Oh, and the classic trombone also made its debut in the same building. They tease playing a song, but they deny us because they weren't voted as the Tag Team of the Year. Now? No one gets a song.

Oh, and Kofi says that they will fight misbehaving children. ROFL.

This was a pretty fast-paced that happened. Xavier tried to run a distraction toward the end, but it backfired. Kalisto hits a frankensteiner to win.

Afterward, Xavier calls Sin Cara out for helping Kalisto win. Xavier teases challenging Sin Cara to a match, but backs out and volunteers Big E.

Big E vs Sin Cara

For what it was, this was a pretty decent match that featured some surprisingly hossy moments from Sin Cara, who took a hard landing onto his left shoulder. Despite that, Sin Cara kept on going and hitting some big moves, but a distraction from New Day allowed Big E to hit the Big Ending to win.

The Miz is out for a holiday edition of MizTV

He starts talking about his New Year's resolution, and Ryback graces us with his presence. He says that Miz looks stupid and has had enough of MizTV. He says that we care about the future.

Ryback burps.

Ryback then says that 2016 is going to be the year of the Big Guy

Now Goldust comes on out and asks if this is the year that Miz wins something (Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG, whatever).

HOLY CRAP IT'S ZACK RYDER!!! Ryder promises that 2016 will be the year of Zack Ryder...woo woo woo.

R-Truth joins the fun now and tells us what's up. He tells us to vote Truth for Superstar of the Year. Miz brings him back to reality by telling him that he won a Slammy.

"My bad"

The Miz starts again but OMG THEY HIT HEATH SLATER'S MUSIC!!!!!!!! IT'S A NEW YORK MIRACLE!!!!!

Slater starts to say stuff, but Big Show waddles out. Slater tells Big Show that no one cares about what he has to say, so Show knocks him out before taking everyone out.

Now we have a Ryback and Big Show face off for a moment until Show eliminates Ryback.

Show takes a mic now and knocks the retirement chants before entering himself as entrant #1 in the Royal Rumble.

Because reasons, this had to happen. Big Show got counted out.

Dean Ambrose and The Usos vs Sheamus, Rusev, and King Barrett

This happened. Sheamus kicked an Uso to win.

Sheamus, Rusev, and King Barrett def Dean Ambrose and The Usos

As the League of Nations celebrates, Kevin Owens comes in to beat up Dean Ambrose, ending it with the mother of all powerbombs through the announce table. He shows a look of utter ecstasy afterward.

A tribute is aired for Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away today.

John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio (United States Championship)

Before the match, Cena cuts a promo talking about how Alberto Del Rio is a disgrace for not defending the United States Championship, and how Cena's effort tonight should be a championship effort. Del Rio comes out and says that he chooses who deserves a US Title shot, and Brooklyn doesn't deserve such a match anyway. The two go back and forth.

The two go back-and-forth for a bit with Cena owning Del Rio in this promo battle before Cena invites the League of Nations to battle. After Cena has himself a powerful speech moment, Del Rio puts his title on the line.

This was a pretty good match that was definitely better than their Hell in a Cell encounter. Toward the end, Rudy Charles took a hell of a bomb and was launched out of the ring. During this, The League of Nations came out to interject themselves into the match. Despite DAT KICK, Cena kicked out and hit an AA on Sheamus and soon Del Rio. Unfortunately, the LoN used the filibuster again, causing a DQ because of course.

John Cena def Alberto Del Rio by DQ

Afterward, the League of Nations beat Cena down until The Usos make an attempted save. This doesn't go well, but it goes better when Roman Reigns comes out to clean house, and he successfully does so.

But wait, there's more. After the ring is cleared, Vince McMahon comes out to says that he's going to sue the City of New York as well as everyone in the crowd.

Oh, and we've got ourselves a title match next week: Sheamus vs Roman Reigns. But wait, there's even more: we've got a special referee: Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

The show ends with Vince McMahon saying "happy new year" while in the midst of a psychotic daze.
