Jeff Hardy wants to return to WWE but he's 'not sure when'

During his interview with Ric Flair on the WOOOOO! Nation podcast on CBS Play.It Radio:

"I think there's a huge possibility down the road. Not sure when but I think Matt and myself would love to end our careers in the WWE and it would be super double great to be able to have a few more good ones with the Dudley Boyz, for sure. ... As far as us returning and having some more matches with them, it all depends on how long they're going to be there and how long it takes us to get there. But definitely, it's a possibility. I'm just not sure when right now. Everything with me -- Matt's ready to go, he could do anything now -- but everything depends on my knee right now as far as my future."

Hardy would say his TNA contract comes up a year from February and, as noted, his future in pro wrestling is entirely dependent on how he recovers from the leg injury he suffered in a dirt bike accident earlier this year. His plan is to try to wrestle in January with a knee brace on but he's looking at more surgery and will likely spend the majority of 2016 on the shelf.

It's entirely possible, and downright likely, that the Dudley Boyz won't be on the WWE roster by 2017, so another Hardys-Dudleys feud looks doubtful. That said, there's no reason Jeff and Matt can't make a return to the pro wrestling promotion that made them stars, and Jeff makes clear they're hoping to close their career there.

Are you hoping for the same?
