Last week, WWE ran an episode of Monday Night Raw coming off a good TLC pay-per-view (PPV) that closed with a super hot angle featuring Roman Reigns finally getting over by beating down The League of Nations and The Authority. Then he went out and got over Vince McMahon and won the WWE world heavyweight championship.
The result was 3.88 million viewers, the best the show had done since August.
This week, viewership came crashing back down to Earth, as the show averaged 3.50 million viewers for all three hours, which were dedicated to The Slammy Awards. Here's the hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 3.44 million
Hour two: 3.37 million
Hour three: 3.31 million
That's actually a decent showing from hour one to three, mostly keeping the viewership who showed up for the start of the program. The problem, of course, is that the first hour numbers weren't all that high relative to what WWE is used to. Then again, those are better numbers than they've been getting over the past month, save for last week.
Football season is almost over.
