WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Dec. 21, 2015) from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) next month in Orlando, Florida.

WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 21

WWE Signature and a recap of last week's Raw main event angle of Roman Reigns winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Stephanie McMahon comes out to the ring, and she has an insidious look on her face.

Steph welcomes us to Raw and the Slammy Awards and talks about the Slammys a bit.

But she's out here to do some business, and she has a smile on her face. She says that McMahons do not wallow in self-pity; instead, they rise above, and this is a night of celebration and....that smile is wiped right off of Steph's face when Roman Reigns interrupts.

After taking in some cheers, Reigns tells us that tonight is going to be a good night since everyone is in a good mood to celebrate stuff. However, Reigns knows that there's a set-up in store....or Steph is just trying to make him sweat.

Bad news: Reigns doesn't sweat Steph, Vince McMahon, or Triple H. Why would he sweat him?

Reigns has a message for Trips: He is here ,and he is carrying the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Steph tells Reigns to get out of the ring, and becomes increasingly agitated as he laughs at her commands. She becomes much happier when Reigns tells her that she sounds like a little kid when she yells at him.

Reigns says that he'll leave....but the crowd doesn't want him to. More screeching ensues, and Reigns prods the fires of Hell when he turns his back to Stephanie as he leaves. Steph responds by commanding Reigns BACK into the ring.

Steph continues screeching as Reigns exits via the crowd. She makes some matches as he walks away: The Usos vs The New Day...that doesn't faze him. Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus in a steel cage causes him to turn, but just for a few moments before he leaves.

Tonight, there is going to be hell to pay.

The first televised Slammy Award is presented: Breakout Star of the Year. A dapper Dolph Ziggler talks about breaking out before presenting the nominees: Kevin Owens, Neville, Charlotte, Tyler Breeze, and Braun Strowman.

Your winner: Neville(?!)

A very surprised Neville is shocked by this result, and he thanks the WWE Universe for this honor.

As his speech goes on, Kevin Owens strolls out and says that he should have won. Owens tells Neville to take a hike, and Neville obliges. Owens proclaims himself the breakout star...after all, he DID defeat John Cena in his first main roster match. Owens turns his attention toward Ziggler, calling him a has-been.

This sparks a brawl between Ziggler and Owens until the usual group of referees breaks the fight.

As the fight cools down, The Wyatt Family appears in the ring. We're getting a Bray Wyatt match

This very quickly devolves into Kane getting beatdown by The Wyatt Family.

The Wyatt Family works over Kane until The Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer make the saves. I wonder what's coming next...

Are you surprised?

Quick one that happened. The Dudleys gave a 3D to Erick Rowan, got bowled over by BigBeard McMurderFace, and D-Von got decapitated by Luke Harper to give The Wyatts a win.

Santino Marella comes out to present the LOL Moment of the Year. After getting a return pop for a moment, he presents the nominees: Edge & Christian vs The New Day, the Bushwhacker's Hall of Fame speech, The Miz's ED commercial, The New Day dances with The Authority, and R-Truth being delusional before Money in the Bank.

Your winner: Delusional R-Truth

Santino accepts this on behalf of R-Truth because he has never won a Slammy before, and he knows something about making people laugh.

R-Truth comes out demands his his award, and Santino distracts Truth as he runs away. Truth gives chase.

Saint Mick wishes us a Merry Christmas and puts over the WWE Universe. He starts to sing a Christmas song when the elves (including one Noelle Foley) chants that New Day sucks. Saint Mick immediately professes his regret at giving Xavier Woods a trombone for Christmas. A Foley Pop ends this segment.

Paul Heyman comes out to present the OMG Moment of the Year. Before presenting the nominees, Heyman says that Brock Lesnar should win ALL THE SLAMMYS! He presents the nominees: Seth Rollins cashing in at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar murderdeathkilling everyone, Kalisto killing Jey Uso at TLC, The Wyatt Family kidnapping Undertaker, and Sheamus cashing in at Survivor Series.

Your winner: Kalisto hitting the Salida Del Sol at TLC.

Kalisto is in a full suit AND mask. He says that this moment keeps him to keep fighting and flying.

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

This was a very fun match with both men hitting each other hard. After a hard-fought affair, Owens gets the win with a pop-up powerbomb out of nowhere.

Stephanie McMahon presents the Superstar of the Year. Your nominees are every single main roster Superstar.

Your winner: Seth Rollins

AND THE MAN HIMSELF COMES OUT ON CRUTCHES TO ACCEPT HIS AWARD!!!

Rollins gets a reaction of some boos, but many more cheers. Rollins WANTS to say thank you, but was there any other choice? He goes over his resume for this year, which is quite impressive. He then gets a bit emotional when he brings up his knee injury.

Rollins proclaims that he will rebuild for 2016, and he will take back what belongs to him: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

John Cena's return is announced for next week on Raw, and he's taking on Alberto Del Rio

The League of Nations is here to observe.

We've seen this a few times before. Del Rio wins with the dreaded corner stomp.

Mark Henry comes out to present The Hero In All of Us Award. The nominees are Natalya, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Titus O'Neil, and John Cena

Unfortunately, John Cena is not here tonight, so Henry accepts on Cena's behalf.

Santa Claus Bo Dallas presents the nominees for Surprise Return of the Year: The Dudley Boyz, Chris Jericho, Alberto Del Rio, Kane, and Sting

Your winner: Sting

As you would expect, Sting is not present, so Bo is accepting on his behalf.

The New Day is here, and they are not happy about being snubbed for Tag Team of the Year. Therefore, the WWE Universe has failed. Shame. Shame everywhere.

So to get back at everyone, The New Day is going to spoil Star Wars...those bastards.

But wait, we're saved. Kofi Kingston hasn't seen the movie yet, so it won't be spoiled. Despite this, The New Day are STILL your tag team champions.

The Usos ruin the fun, so we have a match.

This one also happened. The Usos took a good deal of punishment and hit the obligatory hot tag. The end comes when one of the Usos reverses a roll-up from Xavier Woods to win.

For whatever strange reason, R-Truth comes out to present Diva of the Year. The nominees are Nikki Bella, Paige, Charlotte, Naomi, and Sasha Banks.

Paige comes out to accept her award, but there's a slight problem: R-Truth misread the card. Paige is your runner-up. Paige is unimpressed.

Instead, your REAL winner is Nikki Bella

Nikki comes out and tells Paige to stay. Nikki says stuff before dedicating her award to all of the women in WWE and the WWE Universe. Paige and Nikki embrace afterward.

Neville vs Rusev

The League of Nations and The Miz are at ringside.

For what it's worth, this was a pretty solid match with both men going back and forth. The end came when Neville went for the Red Arrow. Rusev rolled to the far side of the ring, and Neville jumped from the turnbuckle right into DAT KICK. The Accolade seals the deal.

The Miz presents the "This is Awesome Moment of the Year." The nominees are Brock Lesnar murderdeathkilling J&J Security's car, Randy Orton RKOing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. the Divas Revolution (lol), the triple powerbomb at Payback, and The Rock and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

Your winner: Rock and Ronda

The Miz accepts on behalf of Rock and Ronda by whoring out Santa's Little Helper.

Becky Lynch vs Brie Bella

This one happened. Brie controlled 95% of it until Becky made a comeback and locked the Disarmer to win.

Ric Flair comes out to present the Match of the Year. The nominees are John Cena vs Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins, Sting vs Triple H, John Cena vs Kevin Owens (Elimination Chamber), Roman Reigns vs Dolph Ziggler vs Kevin Owens vs Alberto Del Rio, and Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker (Hell in a Cell)

Your winner: Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar's music starts, and Paul Heyman comes out to accept the award with a smug smile on his face. He says that Brock Lesnar has no desire to accept awards. Instead, Brock Lesnar wants to come for a fight, but no one is man enough to want Brock Lesnar. Undertaker stood up, but was conquered by Lesnar.

Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus (Steel Cage)

As the cage is lowered for this match, we cut backstage where the League of Nations assaults The Usos.

Before the match starts, Ambrose eats a Brogue Kick and takes a beating from the League of Nations. Ambrose's corpse is rolled inside and the match starts.

This was a pretty hard-hitting match that saw the League of Nations interject themselves quite a few times. Thankfully Roman Reigns came out to lend a helping hand by taking out the LoN. He then threw a chair into the ring (that landed perfectly open) that helped Ambrose even the odds. After the obligatory fight on top of the cage, Sheamus hits Ambrose, knocking him off of the cage for the win.

After Sheamus drops from the cage, Reigns spears him.

We end with Stephanie slapping Tom Phillips to death.
