Survivor Series 2015 results: Roman Reigns beats Alberto Del Rio, advances to WWE title tournament final

New, comments

WWE kicked off its Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem. Then they followed it up by bringing out one of the leaders of MexAmerica, Alberto Del Rio, for his semifinal WWE world heavyweight title tournament match with Roman Reigns.

It was also the most predictable, all things considered.

Sure enough, Reigns pinned Del Rio with the spear after a solid match.

Early on, it looked like Reigns might just run through him on his way to the final. Instead, Del Rio took control and spent most of the match working Roman over, though that only included one near fall. When Reigns made his comeback, he set up for the spear after a Superman Punch but ran into a superkick. He countered the cross armbreaker with a powerbomb that got two. He did finally get the cross armbreaker but once he got out, he slipped under Del Rio coming off the top, hit the spear, and got the three count.

He'll face the winner of Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose next.
