BaconStrips here. Let's do this...

Preshow Highlights

  • I'm having issues getting my Network to play the kickoff show, and apparently I'm not the only one. Let's see what happens here... (Update: seems to be running for the moment)
  • The panel consists of Corey Graves, Booker T, Byron Saxton, and Renee Young sans Gobbeldy Gooker costume....that tease.
  • Rich Brennan interviews Charlotte. Charlotte says that she lost her cool on Monday, but promises to defend her title with Flair tonight.
  • Tom Phillips tries to run the Social Media Lounge with Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae, but Breeze is too busy admiring himself to care. In fact, the only question he answers is about taking a top selfie (a typical uggo question).

The Miz, Bo Dallas, Stardust, and The Ascension vs Neville, The Dudley Boyz, Titus O'Neil, and GOLDUST (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match)

  • Ladies and gentlemen, Goldust is back, and Stardust is beside himself.
  • As expected, Stardust and Goldust start with some brawling. Goldust sends Stardust reeling into his corner where Viktor tags himself in. After complaining, Viktor walks into a powerslam and is eliminated via pinfall.
  • Now it's Goldust vs Konnor. Goldust does his signature taunt before tagging Titus O'Neil in. The two start hossing around until Konnor gets O'Neil in the corner for some punches. O'Neil eventually reverses and hits some chest slaps on the big man. After a body slam, O'Neil tags D-Von Dudley in.
  • After a couple punches, D-Von tags Bubba Ray Dudley in and hits a delayed slam on Konnor. Bubba Ray calls for WASSUP and D-Von delivers. A few Network skips later, all of the heels are outside and Neville follows with a twisting moonsault to the outside. This sets up a break.
  • Back from break, Konnor is in control of Bubba Ray until Bubba Ray lands a huge uranage to pin Konnor for the next elimination.
  • D-Von is tagged in just in time to start eating a lot of abuse in the heel corner. Stardust is eventually tagged in and does a cartwheel to the obligatory "Cody" chants. After doling out some punishment, Stardust tags The Miz in. Miz does a bit of work before being planted by a spinebuster from D-Von.
  • Despite Stardust trying to stop him, D-VOn tags Neville in for a big hot tag. Unfortunately for Neville, he ends up in the heel corner. As he hits a snap German suplex on Stardust, Dallas tags himself in and delivers a Running Bo-Dog. During the Bo-Dog, Miz tags himself in and follows up with a Skull Crushing Finale to pin Neville.
  • As Miz celebrates, Goldust enters and rolls him up for the pin.
  • Back from another break and Dallas is in control of Goldust as my Network continues to relentlessly skip and freeze. Stardust is tagged in to work over his brother, and especially so after he denies us a chance at a table spot.
  • Neville and Stardust display some good teamwork as they continuously work over Goldust. This is stopped immediately when Goldust hits a huge Tonic out of nowhere. O'Neil gets a hot tag and goes nuts. This hot tag includes a double Bionic Elbow from Bubba Ray and Goldust. Soon after, O'Neill hits Dallas with Clash of the Titus for the elimination.
  • Stardust is the lone wolf now and decides to take a walk. He is met by O'Neil and Goldust. After a brief chase, Stardust reenters the ring and eats a 3D for the elimination.

The Dudley Boyz, Goldust, and Titus O'Neil are the sole survivors; Team Neville def Team Miz

We start this evening with Lillian Garcia singing The Star-Spangled Banner.

After Lillian's performance, we get a video package for 25 years of Undertaker

Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio (WWE WHC Tournament Semifinal)

  • Reigns enters to a very mixed reaction while Del Rio enters to a negligible reaction.
  • Reigns and Del Rio start with a tie up and work to the corner where a clean break ensues. A second tie up ensues and ends with Del Rio whipping Reigns. Reigns responds with a shoulder block.
  • The two tease a Greco-Roman knuckle lock until Del Rio kicks Reigns' leg. Del Rio gets Reigns into the corner and lays in some mounted punches until Reigns carries him away and hits a backdrop.
  • The two end up outside where Del Rio starts to target Reigns' right arm. Del Rio gets Reigns back inside and hits a flying tackle for a short count. Reigns wrestles Del Rio over and hits some mounted punches of his own before being driven away. Reigns follows-up with a sort-of powerslam for two.
  • Del Rio starts to work over Reigns, eventually hitting his signature second-rope enziguiri that sends Reigns tumbling to the outside. Del Rio follows this by tossing him shoulder-first into the steel steps. Reigns gets back inside to eat a flying punch for two.
  • Del Rio locks in a chinlock for a bit until Reigns breaks it with some punches. Reigns then goes for a shoulder tackle in the corner until Del Rio moves, causing Reigns to connect with the ring post with his left shoulder. Del Rio then tries to follow with a running kick, but Reigns dodges and forces Del Rio outside.
  • After a six count, Reigns exits the ring and hits an apron dropkick. Reigns bashes Del Rio into the announce table a couple times before putting him back in the ring and hitting his rally moves (flying clothesline, ten corner clotheslines, and a big boot). Reigns calls for and goes for the Superman Punch, but Del Rio reverses into a backstabber for two.
  • Del Rio kicks Reigns in the corner before hitting a DDT for two. He tries to follow up with his huge superkick but is reversed into a Samoan drop for two. Reigns then places Del Rio on the top-turnbuckle and goes for a superplex. Del Rio fights out and gets Reigns into a tree-of-woe. He goes for the double-stomp, but Reigns dodges it.
  • After Del Rio recovers, he eats a Superman Punch. As he goes for the spear, Del Rio meets him with the superkick for two. He calls for the cross-armbreaker and tries to execute it. Reigns is able to roll him through and land the sit-out schoolboy powerbomb for two.
  • Reigns and Del Rio try to recover, but Del Rio plays possum and locks in the cross-armbreaker until Reigns picks him up and drops him onto the apron, but Del Rio keeps the armbreaker locked in for another few seconds.
  • Del Rio tries for a third top-rope move, but Reigns rolls out of the way and hits the spear to win.

Roman Reigns def Alberto Del Rio; advances to WWE WHC Final

Right after, Jojo interviews Roman Reigns about his win and is about to ask him about his opponent. At that moment, Dean Ambrose pops in and congratulates him, saying that it's gonna be best friends in the final.

As Reigns talks, Kevin Owens comes in, saying that it doesn't matter that Reigns made it to the finals. Reigns had gotten close before, but has never won. Owens is gonna be the guy that stops Reigns tonight. Reigns comments, saying that KO always runs his mouth, but is soon gonna get his ass kicked by Ambrose.

Kevin Owens vs Dean Ambrose (WWE WHC Tournament Semifinal)

  • Reigns and Owens start with some technical stuff. Owens is whipped and hits a shoulder tackle. More running and Ambrose hits a couple arm drags.
  • The hard-hitting offense of Owens start with some strikes and shoulder tackles in the corner. Ambrose comes back with some quick offense of his own, eventually sending him outside. Ambrose follows with a jumping clothesline to the outside. Ambrose gets Owens back in and hits the corner forearm/bulldog combo for two.
  • Ambrose starts to go for a flying elbow, but Owens crotches him and takes him down after a couple punches. A cannonball leads to a two count for Owens. Owens follows with some strikes and Chinlock City. He follows with more of his usual stiff offense.
  • Dueling chants are ringing out as Owens keeps the punishment up on Ambrose. Owens goes for a sleeper hold, but Ambrose reverses into a back suplex. Owens quickly goes for a running senton that is dodged by Ambrose. A double clothesline sends both men down to the mat.
  • Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, but Owens fights out. An exchange of strikes ensues before Ambrose starts his jab/chop combo. Owens fights out and hits a gutbuster. He tries to follow with a moonsault, but Ambrose dodges.
  • Ambrose gets Owens onto the top rope for a superplex. Obviously this is a bad idea as Owens fights out and headbutts Ambrose off the buckle. Ambrose returns to go for the superplex, but Owens turns it into the huge fisherman's buster for a close two count.
  • Owens tells Ambrose to stay down before slapping him. Owens tries to set Ambrose up for the pop-up powerbomb, but Ambrose turns it into a huge rebound clothesline and follows with a suicide dive to the outside. Owens is rolled back inside and rolls to the other side. Ambrose follows with a second suicide dive, but Owens catches him and slams him onto the announce table (part of an F-Cinq).
  • The ending sequence is intense. Owens gets Ambrose back inside and goes for a pop-up powerbomb. Ambrose hurdles Owens and is superkicked. Ambrose rebounds into a second superkick. Owens then goes for a pop-up powerbomb, but AMBROSE TURNS IT INTO A HURACANRANA!!! Dirty Deeds is hit for the win.

Dean Ambrose def Kevin Owens; advances to WWE WHC Tournament Final

Ryback, Lucha Dragons, and The Usos vs The New Day, Sheamus, and King Barrett (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match)

  • OH MY GOD LOOK AT XAVIER WOODS' HAIR!!! The New Day cuts a heel promo on Atlanta's sports teams, Lucha Dragons at the kid's table, Hello Kitty Band-Aids, and Big Guy-Pattern Baldness. Sheamus interrupts and ruins the whole thing with a hilariously upbeat speech. Kofi Kingston makes sense of it and chants "New Day Rocks"
  • Xavier Woods and Jimmy Uso starts with Woods commanding Jimmy not to touch the hair. Jimmy disobeys and eats a forearm. As Xavier chides Jimmy, Jimmy punches Xavier and starts pulling his lovely locks. The Usos go for a double superkick, but Xavier dodges and tags Kofi Kingston in.
  • Almost immediately, Kofi is knocked down and eats an Uso-assisted splash from Sin Cara. After a suplex, Kofi takes control for a second and tags Sheamus in. Sheamus does well for a moment until Sin Cara starts working him over. Following this is the obligatory "everyone flies onto everyone" spot. Even after a quadruple dive, the ever-lonely Ryback joins by dropping like a flying sofa onto everyone.
  • Everyone gets back inside as Barrett works over Jey Uso. Eventually Jey ends up in the heel corner and eats a ludicrous number of stomps as Xavier plays along. Lots of hip gyrations ensue.
  • Kofi gets Jey into some sort of hold before Jey fights out and tags Jimmy in. Jimmy messes up Xavier's dreamy hair as the hot tag continues. An angry Xavier retaliates with a dropkick from the corner and tags Barrett in for some more punching. Eventually Sin Cara is tagged in and eliminates Barrett with a Swanton from the middle of the top rope.
  • Kofi Kingston enters and immediately eats a school-boy suplex from Sin Cara. Kalisto follows with a monkey-flip splash. Jimmy is tagged back in and goes to work until he is eliminated by Xavier Woods following a double team backbreaker/stomp.
  • The New Day continues working over Sin Cara, culminating in Big E goring him to the floor. Big E drags Sin Cara's carcass back in, but Sheamus tags himself in and hits a Brogue Kick to eliminate Sin Cara
  • Sheamus and Big E argue for a moment before Sheamus tags him in. Ryback soon hits a Meat Hook and Jey Uso follows with a splash to pin Big E.
  • Following the elimination, The New Day complains until eventually hauling their injured partner to the back, leaving Sheamus by himself.
  • Kalisto starts to work over Sheamus until the angry Irishman starts to beat Kalisto up until the later hits a springboard kick. Jey Uso is tagged in and works Sheamus over, eventually hitting a hip attack for two. Ryback is tagged in after and goes to work. As Ryback goes for a Meat Hook, Sheamus reverses into a pin attempt and soon lands a powerslam for two.
  • Sheamus lines up for a Brogue Kick on Ryback, but Ryback dodges and tags Kalisto in. Kalisto goes for a huracanrana, but Sheamus holds him up in a powerbomb grip until Jey Uso superkicks Sheamus. Kalisto then huracanranas Sheamus into a Shellshock for the win.

Kalisto, Ryback, and Jey Usos are the sole survivors; Team Usos def Team New Day

Charlotte vs Paige (Divas Championship)

  • We start with some chain wrestling (aka Charlotte throwing Paige around) until Paige ties herself in the ropes to break it up. Paige takes advantage and delivers her knees until some blows are traded on the apron until Paige throws Charlotte onto the ground.
  • Paige gets Charlotte back inside and locks an abdominal stretch in. Paige slowly converts it into a sleeper hold until Charlotte breaks it with a backpack stunner.
  • Charlotte fights back with a couple chops and follows it with a big boot. She goes for the Figure Eight, but Paige rolls Charlotte up for two. A swift kick from Paige follows.
  • Paige teases locking in a Figure Four, but Charlotte escapes and locks in a Figure Four of her own. Paige reverses the pressure, but it is re-reversed in Charlotte's favor. The two women eventually get to the edge of the apron where Charlotte hangs down to add more pressure. After the break, Charlotte hits an electric chair facebuster on the ring apron.
  • After Charlotte mimics Paige's "THIS IS MY HOUSE" taunt, she keeps up the offense on Paige with some Flair-approved knee drops. The Figure-Four Headlock is then locked in. It is eventually broken and Charlotte delivers some shoulder tackles in the corner. Charlotte goes for one too many as she is forced shoulder first into the post. Paige then dumps Charlotte onto the floor again.
  • The women fight on the outside for a moment before Paige rolls Charlotte back inside and eventually locks her in a painful looking STF before transitioning into a body-scissors. The hold is broken and Paige gets Charlotte into the corner and hits the running knee and some more knees for good measure before being donked off of the turnbuckle and eating a neckbreaker for two.
  • Charlotte and Paige trade strikes in the middle of the ring until Charlotte hits a spear and follows it with Natural Selection. Paige is able to roll outside to avoid the pin. The brawl continues outside with Paige throwing Charlotte all over the place.
  • Paige gets onto the barricade and proclaims that it's her house. Charlotte gets onto the barricade and spears Paige onto the floor and eventually rolls her back in. Charlotte locks in the Figure Eight to win.

Charlotte def Paige; retains Divas Championship

Tyler Breeze vs Dolph Ziggler

  • Breeze and Ziggler lock up. Breeze shoves Ziggler off and poses on the turnbuckle. They tie up again and Ziggler wrestles him to the ground. Ziggler soon mocks Breeze's turnbuckle taunt to Breeze's dismay. Breeze attacks and is soon clotheslined to the outside.
  • Outside Ziggler goes for Breeze, but the latter uses Summer Rae as a meat shield. This allows Breeze to take advantage, and even moreso when Breeze hurls Ziggler into the second rope.
  • Breeze controls as he hits Ziggler with some pretty good strikes before locking in a half crab until Ziggler reaches the ropes for the break. Breeze tries to follow up from the top rope, but Ziggler meets him with a dropkick.
  • Ziggler hits his rally moves to start his comeback. He goes for a Famouser but Breeze tries to escape with a quick pin. A quick sequence of pins follows until Ziggler faceplants Breeze. He calls for the superkick but is caught by Breeze. Breeze goes for the Unprettier but Ziggler converts it into a backslide. Ziggler goes for another superkick, but Breeze rolls outside.
  • After a kick to the leg, Breeze reenters and hits the Unprettier on Ziggler to win.

Tyler Breeze def Dolph Ziggler

Brothers of Destruction vs Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper

  • The Brothers of Destruction make their entrances separately. Kane enters first and sets the stage for Undertaker. Kane does his pyro thing and sets two Undertaker symbols ablaze. Undertaker enters and we see the many faces of Undertaker displayed inside a giant casket.
  • As the Brothers finish their entrance, Erick Rowan rushes them and eats a double chokeslam. We soon find out that Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper are facing The Brothers.
  • Harper and Kane start and Kane takes advantage early with strikes and a clothesline. A sidewalk slam gets a two count for Kane. Kane follows that up with a dropkick and tags Undertaker in.
  • Taker enters and gets right to work on Harper with some vicious strikes. Taker tries for Old School, but Harper stops him and tags Wyatt in. Wyatt gets a bit of work in until Taker stops him with a signature flying lariat for two. Harper gets tagged in and eats some Old School. Taker dumps Harper to a huge "you still got it" chant. Taker then sets up and lands his signature leg drop on the apron.
  • Taker tags Kane in and Kane continues the beating on Harper. They make it back inside where Harper clotheslines Kane outside onto his feet. Braun Strowman tries to attack but eats a boot from Kane. Bray Wyatt makes a distraction and Strowman hurls Kane over the announce table onto the commentary team. The Wyatts have control of Kane.
  • After a flying forearm, Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail on Kane, but Kane counters into a chokeslam attempt after Wyatt taunts Undertaker. Kane eventually downs Wyatt with a DDT.
  • Undertaker gets tagged in and goes to work on Harper. After a DDT, Taker calls for a chokeslam and goes for one. Wyatt interrupts and finds himself in Taker's clutches. Strowman provides a distraction long enough for Wyatt and Harper to clothesline Taker onto his feet. Outside, an unhappy Taker and Kane chokeslam Strowman through the Spanish table.
  • Taker makes it back inside to eat Sister Abigail. Kane breaks the pin and a bit of chaos ensues during a Network skip. The Brothers end up on their back for a bit until they both sit up. Taker and Kane chokeslam Harper and Wyatt. Taker tombstones Harper to get the win.

The Brothers of Destruction def Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt

Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns (WWE WHC Tournament Final)

  • The match starts and these two are immediately brawling up to the point where Reigns drops Ambrose with a standing clothesline. Ambrose gets up and wants more, and Reigns obliges. The two end up on the outside and go at it.
  • Ambrose gets the advantage on the outside and follows up with a suicide dive. Both men make it back inside where Ambrose hits a missile dropkick for two. Ambrose then uses an armbreaker followed by a Fujiarwa armbar to go to work on Reigns' bad shoulder.
  • Ambrose breaks the hold and starts working Reigns over in the corner. Ambrose hits some mounted punches before being powerbombed a couple times for two. Reigns then gets Ambrose on the top turnbuckle and goes for a top-rope Samoan drop. Ambrose fights out and hits a slightly botched sunset flip powerbomb. Ambrose follows with a flying elbow but is hit by a Superman Punch for two.
  • Reigns goes for a second Superman Punch but is caught into a Dirty Deeds attempt. Reigns escapes and hits a sudden spear for a close two count.
  • Reigns gets back up and lines up for a second spear. Ambrose hits him with a boot and then forces his bad shoulder into the ring post. Ambrose follows up with Dirty Deeds for another close two count.
  • Both men are down as Charles Robinson works a ten count. Both men are in a side-by-side sitting position and trade blows as they get up. The match devolves into a total slugfest as both trade some huge moves. As Ambrose goes for a running forearm, Reigns hits a huge spear to get the win.

After, Ambrose and Reigns embrace before Ambrose exits and some pyro goes off.

But wait...Triple H comes out applauding Reigns for his win. He raises Reigns' arm before offering his hand for a handshake. Reigns responds with a spear.

Sheamus vs Roman Reigns (Cash-in for WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Charles Robinson passes the briefcase to Lillian Garcia as Sheamus covers Reigns. We get a two count as Sheamus gives a look of shock.
