So I'm minding my own business reading the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required but recommended) when I come across something that I just had to pass along to you on the off chance that you haven't been made aware of it by now.
First, some quick set up: Bruce Prichard and Eric Bischoff held a debate this past weekend in Philadelphia on the Monday Night War. This was promoted as a high ranking WCW executive telling his side against a high ranking WWF executive telling his while pulling no punches.
Considering how far away from the Monday Night War we are there wouldn't be much new information. There was an interesting note, however, that the Observer passed along that I now must pass along to you.
The one thing Prichard said that was new is that Bret Hart was the one who came up with the name Degeneration X in 1997, and that after Hogan did his heel turn in WCW, when WWF was trying to get Hogan back, the idea was for him to be the leader of DX.
Yes, Hulk Hogan leading D-Generation X.
I just don't even know what to say to that. Do you?
