Purple Brock Lesnar is not dying, apparently; WWE issues statement on his health

Brock Lesnar is a mammoth of a man, some 300 pounds of muscle and beef that makes him exactly the kind of physical specimen that puts dollar signs dancing in front of Vince McMahon's eyes. He's so big, however, that when he wrestles, he sweats profusely and his skin turns an alarming shade of purple.

Our own Hulk Holland expressed concern over this and wondered if there wasn't an underlying issue. Lesnar, after all, doesn't have the best track record regarding his health.

Lesnar returned for a match with Cena at Night of Champions just this past Sunday night and, once again, he was changing colors and looking generally unwell. Because of this, more articles were written openly wondering whether or not he's sick and in need of immediate medical care. Some even went so far as to suggest that he missed Monday Night Raw this week due to whatever health problem he may be having.

The Washington Post ran a story on as much and WWE was quick to release a statement denying the rumors that anything is wrong with the WWE world heavyweight champion:

Concerned fans are getting worked up for nothing, however, WWE officials say. Via an e-mailed statement to The Washington Post, the WWE contends, there is "no truth to the rumors about issues with Brock Lesnar's health." The company did not offer an alternative explanation as to why Lesnar did not appear.

PW Insider had previously noted that Lesnar was never scheduled for Raw this week because he's still under a contract that only requires him to work a limited number of dates per year. He may or may not be booked for Hell in a Cell, the next pay-per-view on the schedule, but as of right now it doesn't appear he's set for any show anytime soon.

So, despite the fact that he looks like a purple balloon ready to burst at any moment during his matches, apparently Lesnar is just fine.
