It was announced yesterday that WWE fired Alberto Del Rio for "unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee". Various rumors have made the rounds (read about them here), including PW Insider reporting that a WWE employee made a remark Del Rio perceived as racially charged and he slapped said employee in response.
Since its announcement, WWE remained silent on the matter until a couple of tweets sent out via the official company Twitter account a short time ago:
(1/2) @VivaDelRio is responsible for his own actions. If you’re angry at anyone, be angry at Alberto.

(2/2) There’s no excuse for a pro athlete not to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

This is an interesting approach considering WWE is commenting on a situation without elaborating on what actually happened to cause Del Rio's firing. We know he was fired for an "altercation with an employee" but we don't know the circumstances surrounding it. All we have our rumors and fans are making snap judgments based on said rumors.
We'll update with any more information as it becomes available.
