Remember back in May when it was announced that WWE Studios and Lionsgate were partnering up for a six-pack of films? The first, Vendetta, would star Big Show and now we know who will be starring in the second, a movie entitled Lockdown.
None other than Dean Ambrose.
That's the word from Variety, who broke the news earlier today.
WWE star Jonathan Good, known in the ring as Dean Ambrose, will headline the film, to be directed by Stephen Reynolds ("Tomb Raider: Ascension"). Production starts this month.
Written by Nathan Brooks and Bobby Lee Darby ("See No Evil 2″), "Lockdown" follows a police officer who finds himself trapped inside his own precinct and hunted after crooked cops stop at nothing to recover incriminating evidence of illegal activities against those closest to him.
That would mean Ambrose will be needing to take some time off in the near future, but surely that's worth it to all his fans out there who wish to see him in a starring role in literally any movie.
The good news is it seems Dean will get to finish up his feud with Seth Rollins before bailing to go be a movie star.
How excited are you for this, Cagesiders?
