House show reports indicate that Santino Marella is staying with WWE in a non-wrestling capacity

As word spreads that Santino Marella announced that a new neck injury will end his in-ring career, more reports are coming from the Toronto house show where the WWE Superstar appeared after intermission for a surpise promo.

Dressed in street clothes, Marella talked about how much he was looking forward to wrestling in front of his hometown fans and said that he wished he had a chance to be introduced as hailing from Toronto while he was still an active wrestler.

He did, however, imply that he would be staying with WWE in a non-wrestling capacity.  Santino is a frequent host of YouTube segments and bumpers on WWE Network, does commercial work for the Stamford, Connecticut based company such as the Twisted Tea in-show advertisement on the June 30, 2014 Raw and has recently been a spokesman for an anti-bullying campaign with sponsor Juicy Drops.

Marella teased that he could be a candidate for the open General Manager positions on Raw and Smackdown, vacant in story due to The Authority' firing of Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero, before leaving to loud applause and "Santino" chants.

While it's unclear that those positions will be filled by anyone, it sounds like Marella will be staying with the company for which he has worked since 2007.

Haters are no doubt saying, "Sunnamagun".

Who's excited for more of the The Milan Miracle on WWE television, or at least as a WWE employee?  What role would you like to see him play?
