WWE continues flirting with UFC star Ronda Rousey

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

If there weren't persistent rumors over the past few months that WWE is hoping to book the Four Horsewomen for an appearance at SummerSlam in Los Angeles come August, maybe this little tidbit would be worth ignoring. But the flirtation between WWE and Ronda Rousey is just enough to keep an eye on.

The latest is an article over at WWE.com listing "celebrities we'd like to see compete in WWE". That's fluffy as all get out, sure, and most of the celebrities listed -- LeBron James and Miley Cyrus among them -- aren't likely to ever even come close to working a professional wrestling match.

That's not necessarily the case for Rousey.

At the very least, some form of her getting physically involved in a major angle at an equally major pay-per-view (PPV) event isn't totally out of the question.

She's admitted in the past -- while professing to being in love with CM Punk -- that she would be open to pro wrestling, though her hectic schedule gets in the way of any long-term involvement in the industry. Still, she's not ruling it out while going all fangirl when Roman Reigns agreed she could replace Seth Rollins as the third member of The Shield (watch her devastated reaction to Rollins' heel turn here).

Speaking of that:

Do we want to see Rousey in a WWE ring, even if it's just for an appearance at a big PPV?
