AJ Lee WWE return may not happen until after her wedding to CM Punk

Just one night after WrestleMania 30, AJ Lee lost the Divas championship to a debuting (on the main roster, at least) Paige on Monday Night Raw in New Orleans. She hasn't been seen or heard from on WWE television since.

She has, however, been spotted with CM Punk at various sporting events. That's because the two decided to get married, with the wedding planned for next month, according to Punk himself during a recent interview at a Chicago Cubs game. That left questions regarding Lee's status with the company, mainly when exactly she'll finally return from hiatus.

It was originally reported she would be back for the European tour, as she was advertised for some dates, but that obviously hasn't happened. Now, according to the Wrestling Observer (subscription required but recommended), it looks likely she won't be back until after her wedding.

Lee was advertised for some of the European house show dates, the ones coming up after TV, but the impression we have is she'll be returning after the wedding. At least as of a few weeks ago, the plan was for her to be back either late this month or in June.

During her time off, AJ has reportedly been moving to Chicago to live with Punk and, obviously, planning her wedding to him. Congratulations to the seemingly happy couple.

The good news is it does not appear Lee will do like her husband-to-be and bail on the professional wrestling business. So, for now, we can expect her back within roughly a month or so.
