Tomorrow night (May 19, 2014) at the O2 Arena in London, England, WWE will make a decision regarding the "state of the WWE world heavyweight championship", one made necessary by the fact that the current titleholder, Daniel Bryan, had to undergo neck surgery this past Thursday in Pittsburgh.
The segment was booked before the surgery happened and it was unclear how bad the damage was, a move made to cover all bases. Well, the surgery went as well as it could have.
But Bryan is still expected to be out until after Money in the Bank, which means he'll miss at least two pay-per-view (PPV) shows, and it's entirely possible he'll also miss Battleground in July. That could change and he could come back sooner, but why risk his health, especially when it comes to his neck?
So WWE has a big decision to make regarding whether or not to strip him of the title.
Doing so could create immediate interest in the product if booked correctly, and considering everything else the company has going on right now it needs all the help it can get.
So I leave it up to you, Cagesiders. To strip or not to strip.
