Until today, all we've heard of CM Punk possibly making the move to mixed martial arts are rumors and reports from varying sources, none of which were from those who would actually be able to do something about it. I say until today because TMZ caught up with UFC President Dana White recently and he confirmed interest in talking to the former WWE champion:
"He is a big fan. I like him very much. He's a great dude. I don't know if he can fight or anything like that, but sure. I wouldn't mind talking to CM Punk."
He says with a big grin.
Punk confirmed in his first podcast with Colt Cabana that he's been training extensively with the Gracie family, he's in great shape, and he's healthier now than he has been in a many years.
With that said, Cabana also suggested Punk has suffered up to 12 or 13 concussions throughout the course of his pro wrestling career. Is a move to the Octagon -- or any cage fighting endeavor, for that matter -- really the right play here?
Even if it's not, if Punk decides it's what he wants to do he'll have options.
