Kevin Nash suspended by WWE following arrest for fight with son

Early on Christmas Eve, news broke that former WWE and WCW champion Kevin Nash had been arrested following an altercation with his son at Nash's home in Florida. According to TMZ, there was an argument, possibly some spitting, an alleged elbow check, and a choke slam of sorts.

Ultimately, Nash was bloodied, his son, Tristen, may have hit his head hard enough to momentarily black out, and both were eventually arrested and jailed. However, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, both Nash and his wife changed their story, so it's hard to tell exactly what happened

Now, Nash has been suspended by WWE over the incident. The company released the following statement:

"Kevin Nash has not regularly performed for WWE since January 2004. He is currently under a non-wrestling 'legends' contract, which has been immediately suspended until this domestic dispute is resolved."

That is in line with the recent domestic abuse policy update the company instituted earlier this year.

Nash just recently commented on the situation on Twitter:

Nash's attorney also released a statement:

"It's an unfortunate situation. They're a good family. I'm hoping the State Attorney's Office will receive my information and dismiss the charges. The kid was out of control, and the father was defending his wife. I'm pretty confident we will have a resolution in the next couple of months."
