Undertaker is back in WWE but not to wrestle.
Indeed, according to a report from PW Insider, Undertaker was in attendance at the NXT television taping last night in Orlando and he's been spending time at the Performance Center. The report states that "The Phenom" said he will be "working with developmental going forward as an advisor" and the plan, apparently, is to have him working on a limited basis offering advice.
This news could be taken a number of ways. It could be Undertaker settling in to a new role in the professional wrestling world as he transitions into his retirement from in-ring competition. Or, it could be Undertaker staying close -- but not too close -- to the action while he decides if he actually wants to retire for good. Or, because anything is possible, this could be Undertaker taking initial steps to prepare for an in-ring return at WrestleMania 31 next year.
If nothing else, the already deep talent roster at NXT, boasting the likes of Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Hideo Itami, Finn Balor, Kevin Steen, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and more, will have an invaluable resource as they prepare for the main WWE roster.
