WWE has posted a job listing for the position of Manager, Social Media. Readers who followed along with the saga of Alberto Del Rio's ouster from the company might remember that as the title held by the man who allegedly made a racist comment about the Mexican superstar and then refused to apologize when confronted. Del Rio himself reported that he slapped the person, reported by several sources to be Cody Barbierri - an act for which he was eventually terminated on the grounds of "unprofessional behavior and altercation with an employee".
Following up on the job posting, PWInsider is reporting that their sources at WWE confirm that Barbierri has left the company. They received no word on the circumstances of his departure, just that it occured earlier this month. He had been with WWE since September of 2012, and is now working as an independent consultant.
This likely changes nothing for the relationship between Del Rio, currently working for AAA in Mexico as El Patron, and Vince McMahon's company.
