Earlier today, my partner Sean Rueter highlighted a portion of Stephanie McMahon's interview with Yahoo Sports that featured the so-called Queen of The Authority outright obliterating the concept of kayfabe. It may be 2014 and the lines may have already been blurry for a number of years, but it's not often you'll hear someone this high up on the food chain in WWE speaking so honestly about the reality of professional wrestling.
Her decision to do so has led to debate within the industry regarding whether or not it was the right thing to do for business. Of note, Jim Cornette took to Twitter to blast her for it and even went so far as to openly speculate that it may have to do with WWE's struggling stock:
Stephanie McMahon completely exposes wrestling as fake in interview--possibly reason why WWE has lost 1/3 of worth in stockmarket #STUPID

To be fair, that could be the case. Or it could be any number of other factors. This subject, however, is one that will continue to create a great divide among all those who debate it.
Which side are you on?
