Just one week ago, Justin Roberts was effectively released by WWE just after the conclusion of Monday Night Raw in Atlanta. The two sides were reportedly unable to come to terms on a new deal, and while there were rumors of a fight between Roberts and commentator Michael Cole during the show (that never happened, according to JBL), the two sides appear to have split amicably.
Roberts departure created an opening for the ring announcer position on Raw, and the rumors have proven true: Lilian Garcia has been promoted to that spot while Eden will take over the vacancy Garcia would have left on SmackDown.
The word comes via WWE.com:
After gracing the SmackDown stage for several years, Lilian Garcia is returning home to Monday Night Raw. As if that wasn't exciting enough, the lovely Eden will heading to Friday nights!
While announcing the move on Twitter, Joey Styles echoed our thoughts on the matter:
NEWS: @LilianGarcia returns to #RAW. @realEdenWWE (Brandi Rhodes) moves to #SmackDown. @HowardFinkel still best ever. pic.twitter.com/j1cwIqIBVS
