Podcast Roundup (Oct. 18, 2014): Justin Roberts, The Miz, Chris Jericho, more!

Reckless Dream via Wikimedia Commons

We here in the Cageside community love to talk about the industry we all love so much that we actually have several podcasts that run at various times throughout the week. Some make it to the front page, some get buried in the busy day of thread activity, and some maybe don't get posted at all. In case you forgot, didn't know of, or want to look back on any of them, here I will accumulate the week's shows all in one spot, at the end of every week. I encourage you to bookmark the page as well.

If you have something you would like to share with the rest of us, feel free to provide a link in the comment section for everyone to enjoy.

**Just a heads up, on this week's Talk Is Jericho with Justin Roberts, it was taped over a month ago, well before he was released by the WWE.

Off The Top Rope - Episode 73 - WWF Survivor Series 1996

In this episode, we kick off with Raw talk, including the news (at the time) of John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose at the Hell in the Cell PPV. We go over the in-ring action of Raw, before taking a break.

When we come back, it's foreshadowing, JR working a smark heel gimmick, an incredible Hart-Austin match, Sid's best match ever, the debut of some "Rocky Maivia" guy, a horrible surprise partner, and much more, as it's Survivor Series 1996!

We name MVPs and LVPs and then reveal the next show we'll be talking, AWA Super Sunday 1983!

Like A House AFire - Episode 14 - Dealing with the dumb $#!+ WWE (and its fans) do on a regular basis

Welcome to the semi-regularly scheduled 14th episode of Like a House Afire, a frequent video-cast that runs down some hot topics in the world of pro wrestling with opinion and analysis from yours truly.

Nothing else makes me justify the time I spend on it like pro wrestling, and especially the biggest pro wrestling company ever, WWE. This past Monday night (October 13th) was chock full of contradictory storytelling and bad behavior - from fans and babyfaces alike. Some good wrestling got me through, but not without dealing with the bad taste left in my mouth by, among other things, the continued mistreatment of the mid-card titles and a double dose of embarrassing fan behavior.

Enjoy - I'll be over here putting on my flame retardant suit...

Talk Is Jericho - Justin Roberts & The Miz

Y2J, The Miz, and Justin Roberts spent their last night of the WWE's Australian tour sitting in Chris' hotel room doing a podcast. It was 2am... they had an early morning, long-ass, flight back to the States - so they just stayed awake! It took 2 tries, but what they ended up with was a funny conversation filled with great wrestling stories, cool behind-the-scenes info, and the reason why Justin Roberts became a WWE announcer and NOT a wrestler! Sit back & enjoy being a fly-on-the-wall for this one!
