During last night's (July 8, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw in Baltimore, the Bella Twins were booked to do commentary during the tag team Diva's match pitting Kaitlyn & Layla vs. AJ Lee & Alicia Fox. They were generally insufferable for all those who aren't outright fans of the duo, and that led some well known workers in the industry to make a few comments of interest.
Particularly former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis.
Indeed, her Twitter lit up with the following comments when the Bellas hit the USA airwaves:
The ratings went up when the Bella Twins came back??? Hahaha.....

I was offered a @wwe contract and the Bellas made sure I didn't get it. I'm not bitter. I just don't like people that mess with my career.

Oh that's enough time talking about them. Watch @ringofhonor the best wrestling in the world!!

She would later say she made positive comments about the Bellas being talented only before she didn't have all the facts about the situation.
This all stems from WWE contacting a number of women about signing with the company to participate in a large women's match at WrestleMania 29 earlier this year, one that was ultimately nixed. This could, in some small way, be part of the reason why.
Too bad.
