Alberto Del Rio may have been featured in the main event of last night's (July 1, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw in Sioux City, Iowa, but did anyone notice his introduction wasn't the same as usual? And did anyone notice why?
I certainly wasn't paying close enough attention, because the fact that Ricardo Rodriguez was nowhere to be found was completely lost on me. But it's not anymore.
That's because WWE today announced that Rodriguez has been suspended for 30 days for a Wellness policy violation:
STAMFORD, Conn. - In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Jesús Rodríguez (Ricardo Rodriguez) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company's policy.
With this representing his first violation, Rodriguez will simply sit out for 30 days and all will be back to normal after that month is over. If nothing else, it will be interesting to see how Del Rio gets along without his manager and personal ring announcer by his side at all times.
Maybe he'll actually stand out for once.
