WWE Extreme Rules 2013 match card: Randy Orton vs. Big Show official

New, comments

WWE has made yet another match official for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) on May 19 in St. Louis, as Randy Orton will return to his hometown to take on Big Show in the lone Extreme Rules match on the card.

All signs pointed to this being the way WWE would go and now it's official: At the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., May 19, 2013, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, Randy Orton will return to his billed hometown to take on Big Show in the only Extreme Rules match set for the card at this time.

From the preview:

At Extreme Rules, Randy Orton will have his chance to demonstrate to Big Show exactly why you don't betray WWE's Apex Predator. The two elite Superstars - who boast a combined 13 World Title reigns between them - will collide in an Extreme Rules Match on pay-per-view on May 19.

Orton has been hot on the trail of The World's Largest Athlete since WrestleMania, when Big Show turned his back on The Viper and their partner, Sheamus, following a narrow loss to The Shield. The angry giant blamed the failure on Orton, who suffered the pinfall, and proceeded to knock out both of his teammates after the bell.

The Orton vs. Show issue stems from the two hooking up to battle a mutual enemy in The Shield only to see the relationship quickly disintegrate into a full blown feud. Really, the two don't have much else going on at present time and so they get to have something going on with each other.

Easy peasy.

Here's the updated Extreme Rules match card and line-up:

- Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H (Steel Cage)
- John Cena vs. Ryback (Last Man Standing)
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger (Ladder)
- Sheamus vs. Mark Henry (Strap)
- Randy Orton vs. Big Show (Extreme Rules)
