The Rock's surgery to repair abdominal tears from WrestleMania 29 match with John Cena was a success

The Rock has undergone surgery to repair his abdominal tears and, as he himself put it, "Superman is on the mend."

Success!

The Rock, who suffered multiple tears in his abdomen during his match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29 this past April 7, 2013, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, had surgery today to repair the damage. Naturally, Twitter is where he brought the news:

That's a nice little nod to Cena, no?

Since this all went down, Rock has only really addressed his future in pro wrestling one time and that's when he told Peter Rosenberg he hasn't quite made up his mind but it's possible he'll come back for a match with Brock Lesnar sometime down the line. The reported rumor was that those two were supposed to headline WrestleMania 30 next year in New Orleans.

We'll see if that happens.

Interestingly enough, Arda Ocal got an interview for LayfieldReport.com with Rock's mother, Ata, who said "he'll always return to wrestling."

Stay tuned.
