Earlier today, we brought word that Brock Lesnar would be appearing on tonight's (April 15, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw in Greenville, South Carolina, to set up his match against whomever he would be working with at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., May 19 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Now we know who that opponent will be.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Lesnar will have a third -- and likely final -- match with Triple H to complete their feud. As is usually the case with extended feuds, the stipulation has been raised for each match. They started with a straight up singles bout at SummerSlam last year, went to a No Holds Barred encounter at WrestleMania 29 just last Sunday (a match that was only a 4 out of 10, according to Bret Hart), and now they will lock horns inside a steel cage.
It's expected they will be the main event. So even though John Cena is now holding the WWE championship, it's still going to get second billing.
It should be noted that plans can change at a moment's notice, as evidenced by last week's panic backstage at Raw when The Rock bailed without telling anyone to tend to injuries he suffered at WrestleMania. But if this goes as the Observer is reporting, it provides the perfect opportunity for Lesnar to go over on Triple H and come away up 2-1 in the feud.
Anyone think there's any way that won't happen?
