Well, this is certainly interesting timing.
Not long after New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees took to Twitter to reveal word is out that WWE will bring WrestleMania 30 to the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2014, the company website has revealed plans for a press conference set to stream live next Mon., Feb. 18, at 12 p.m. ET on WWE.com.
From the post:
Something big is coming to WWE.com. Log on this Monday at 12 p.m. ET for a special announcement, streamed live on WWE.com, YouTube.com/WWE and Facebook.com/WWE.
Tune in the day after WWE Elimination Chamber to for a special address by WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, WWE COO Triple H, WWE Executive Vice President Stephanie McMahon, WWE Champion The Rock and John Cena.
The natural assumption to make here is that this will be the press conference that sees WWE make it official that WrestleMania 30 will in fact take place in New Orleans in April of next year.
Or it could have something to do with this year's show, seeing as The Rock and John Cena will be there. It's expected that Rock will defeat CM Punk to retain the WWE championship at Elimination Chamber the night before, officially setting up a rematch of their WrestleMania 28 encounter.
The most likely scenario? It will be a little bit of both.
We'll just have to stay tuned and CagesideSeats.com will keep you updated just as soon as news breaks.
