It has been rumored for some time that WWE has been considering two locations for the historic WrestleMania 30 in 2014: the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, or Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
The Superdome works because it's a monster location that just hosted the Super Bowl -- problem with the power notwithstanding -- and fits the fact that "The Grand Daddy of Them All" has almost exclusively become a stadium show. The same can't be said for The Garden, which would be a much smaller venue but has historic value in the sense that both WrestleMania 10 and 20 were held in the building.
With this year's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) event set to go down this Sun., Feb. 17, 2013, at the New Orleans Arena, it has been strongly speculated that WWE would make the official announcement then, especially if that's the city that has been chosen to host the biggest spectacle in all of professional wrestling.
But WWE may have been beaten to the punch by New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees.
The word from the French Quarter is that @wwe is bringing @wrestlemania to our house in 2014! #NOLA @mbsuperdome #WM30

That's not an official announcement but it fits with all the speculation that has been running wild for weeks now. It may just be time to accept the fact that WrestleMania 30 is headed to the "Big Easy."
Party time!
That's good news for natives of New Orleans, too, considering that event could play host to The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar and may even be the final match in the legendary career of the Undertaker.
Stay tuned, Cagesiders.
