WWE names the top 25 matches of 2013

We love when WWE.com does countdown style lists, especially for categories that can either spark debate (we love that even more) or make one shake one's head and wonder just what in the blue hell was everyone thinking.

This one, listing the 25 best matches of 2013, does a bit of both.

To the latter point, one may shake one's head by virtue of the fact that of the 25 matches listed, only two of the four that were nominated for "Match of the Year" at the Slammy Awards made it. That includes John Cena vs. The Rock from WrestleMania 29, the match that actually won the award.

For shame. And that's on the part of the voters.

The other match that didn't make the top 25? Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, a somewhat surprising omission if only because of who was involved.

Tsk tsk.
