The E! channel is celebrating a successful Sunday night today with a press release touting the ratings brought in by both the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and return of Total Divas, which kicked off its second run in its first season last night.
The show, which had been hurt badly in the ratings at the end of its first run without the Kardashians lead-in, did 1.3 million viewers. Here's the press release on the numbers:
Los Angeles, CA, November 11, 2013 - On November 10, E! continued to deliver in its Sunday night reality block with the season eight finale of pop culture phenomenon "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" from 9-10pm attracting 2.3 million Total Viewers, 1.6 million Adults 18-49 and 1.2 million Women 18-49, scoring the show's most-watched episode since August 18 in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 and since August 11 in Women 18-49.
Powered by young adults, the finale was also the show's most-watched episode since July 21 in Adults 18-34 (1.1 M) and its best in Women 18-34 (899,000) since the season eight premiere on June 2. Appointment television, the finale outperformed prior four-week time period averages (9-10pm) by double-digits in all its key demos including Adults 18-34 (+43%), Women 18-34 (+49%), Adults 18-49 (+35%), Women 18-49 (+37%), Total Viewers (+33%) and Households (+26%). Additionally, season eight ended as the most-trafficked season of any show on Eonline.
The return of "Total Divas" from 10-11pm also scored for the network with 1.3 million total viewers and 746,000 Adults 18-49.
The fall premiere of "Total Divas" also surged past its mid-season finale on September 15 across all key demos including Adults 18-49 (+10%), Women 18-49 (+16%), Adults 18-34 (+26%), Women 18-34 (+27%), Total Viewers (+21%) and Households (+20%).
