Daniel Bryan's WrestleMania XXX dream opponent is none other than Shawn Michaels

Guess who Daniel Bryan's dream WrestleMania XXX opponent is? None other than "The Heartbreak Kid" himself, Shawn Michaels.

As you all know by now, or should, a Shawn Michaels superkick led to Daniel Bryan losing his WWE championship match against Randy Orton at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) this past Sun., Oct. 27, 2013, in Miami, Florida. The very next evening on Monday Night Raw, Michaels explained his actions -- he was protecting his best friend, Triple H, after Bryan hit him with a flying knee -- before demanding a handshake that never came.

Instead, Bryan put Michaels in the Yes! Lock and took him out to get revenge. Or set up a future match, though it doesn't look likely at present time considering Michaels is retired as an active wrestler.

Now for the interesting part: Bryan is hoping Michaels will come out of retirement for a "dream" match at WrestleMania XXX next year in New Orleans. From a recent interview with Ringside Collectibles:

"To me, Shawn Michaels is always going to be the best of all time. Like, there's nobody who is better than him. ... My dream opponent and it's only... he's refereeing my match at 'Hell in a Cell'; if I could convince Shawn Michaels to come back that would be awesome. If I can't convince him to come back, I'd love to wrestle Triple H, one of those two."

Micheals told a Twitter follower recently that "there have been talks" of his coming back to TV for an increased role in the near future. However, that wouldn't necessarily mean he's going to work another match. In fact, most reports from pro wrestling publications have stated those close to Michaels believe he won't work another match, instead sticking with the retirement stipulation set forth in his match with Undertaker back at WrestleMania 26.

Then again, others believe he will. Really, there's no telling what will happen.

All we really know, now at least, is that Bryan is hoping Michaels comes back for a "dream" match at the biggest show of the year.

We hope so too.
